History of the Bluenose Bonspiel
The inaugural Bluenose Bonspiel was held over Labour Day weekend in 2010. 24 teams gathered at the Mayflower Curling Club only to be met with unseasonable high temperatures and a visit from Hurricane Earl. Through power outages, rearranged social events, a condensed draw schedule and a surprise visit from Justin Trudeau, the event was still a success.
The Loose Ends Curling League hosted the Canadian Gay Curling Championships in April 2013 and will be the host league again in 2023!
